How Sourcing Requests Reach Suppliers

Here's what happens behind the scenes when a buyer submits a sourcing request that might fit your products.

Matching

When a buyer submits a request, our matching engine compares it against all supplier products in our database — including yours — looking at category, product description, packaging format, and certifications.

Internal review

Our team reviews the strongest matches before anything goes further. Not every match results in outreach — we follow up with suppliers only when a request looks like a realistic fit.

When you'll hear from us

If your product is a strong match for a buyer request, our team will reach out by email with details about the opportunity and what the buyer is looking for.

Responding to outreach

  • Reply as soon as you can — buyers often have a timeline in mind
  • Let us know if you can meet the volumes, certifications, or formats requested
  • If it's not a fit, that's useful information too — it helps us match better next time

No obligation

Outreach about a buyer request doesn't commit you to anything. It's the start of a conversation — terms, samples, and pricing are discussed directly if both sides want to move forward.
