Understanding Your Supplier Matches
When FoodXchange shares supplier matches with you, here's how those matches are found and what to look for.
How matches are found
Our matching engine compares your request against our supplier and product database using both structured filters and semantic search — it looks for products that genuinely fit your description, not just keyword matches.
What's taken into account
- Product category and type
- Packaging format and private-label availability
- Certifications and compliance requirements
- How closely the product description matches what you asked for
- Supplier reliability and profile completeness
Certifications shown on matches
Where relevant, we show certification information — including kosher status — as context for your decision. A supplier without a listed kosher certification isn't excluded from matching; it simply means that information isn't recorded yet, and we can follow up to confirm if it matters for your request.
Our review before you see anything
Every match is reviewed by our team before it's shared with you. We don't forward raw search results — only options we believe are worth your time.
